Mintek 7" Portable DVD Player Kit

Mintek's MDP-1770KIT offers the convenience of a home-theater component and the versatility of a portable DVD player with all the trimmings, from a tidy tote bag to a car kit and dual headphone setup. The player handles DVD-Video as well as standard and recordable audio CDs, MP3- and JPEG-encoded discs, and Kodak Picture CDs, which offer greater digital-photo viewing flexibility. Its slender, 1-inch chassis houses a 7-inch widescreen (16:9) TFT liquid-crystal display and a high-capacity rechargeable lithium-ion battery. A remote control simplifies operation, and you can also navigate through discs using the top-panel controls, so you're not tied to the remote. Audio features also include Dolby Digital passthrough and built-in stereo speakers for headphones-free listening. Alternatively, you can plug in the supplied headphone "Y" adapter and two sets of headphones for viewing with a companion. This handy configuration also spares whoever's up front from having to listen to blaring audio from a kids' movie in the back seat.
